The Immersion Update is Live: Step Deeper into Riddlewood Manor

After the amazing flat-screen release of Riddlewood Manor, we are excited to return to our VR roots. Seeing our hand-drawn, creepy comedy adventure come to life in Virtual Reality has been an absolutely incredible experience.

We initially released an early VR version to gather your thoughts and feedback. Now, thanks to your input, we are thrilled to announce a massive improvement to the game. The Immersion Update is officially live on Meta Quest, bringing true presence and deep immersion to the manor.

What is New in The Immersion Update?

To pull you further into the intoxicating dread of the manor, we have completely revamped how you interact with the world around you.

• Bare-Hands Sorcery: We have harnessed Meta’s latest hand-tracking technology. You can now explore the estate using intuitive gestures with your bare hands—use a fist or pinch to toggle your inventory, and simply swipe to rotate your view. (Full controller parity remains included for those who prefer it).

• Dynamic Visuals: Your presence in the manor is now reflected in your own hands. Hand auras will shift color based on your state, changing from normal, to spectral white, or a blood-curdling red when danger approaches.

• Cinematics & Deepened Lore: The atmosphere has never been thicker. Experience cinematic tremors during narrative crescendos and an innovative new system built to create dizzying vertigo zoom effects. We have also added brand-new, fully voiced lore sequences from Emily Riddlewood herself.

• Inventory Overhaul: We have redesigned the inventory into a sleek horizontal UI that automatically hides when not in use. And yes, the infamous vanishing inventory bug has been permanently banished.

• Crucial Quality of Life: Death is no longer a loading-screen chore. We have implemented instant same-room respawns upon death, which also lays the groundwork for a future map system.

Achievements and Progression

For the completionists out there, we have added a brand-new system of unlockable achievements to discover as you survive the manor's tricks and traps.

A Note on Save Files: Because of the massive structural and underlying system changes required for this overhaul, previous save files have been wiped. However, this is a one-time reset for Early Access—all your future progress from this point forward is permanently protected.
